Description:

Hay is cut at different times during the year, where the 1st cut is typically in June, the 2nd cut is typically in July, and the 3rd cut is typically in August. 1st cut hay brings the highest yield (more grass in the hay), however 2nd and 3rd cuts contain more nutrients (more legumes in the hay).
