Description:
Grains are harvested at different times and moisture levels depending on their feeding purpose. Dry grains are harvested in the fall, allowing for a low moisture content at harvest. Dry grains can also endure further drying if the moisture levels are too high after harvest. Some grains need to be harvested at a higher moisture content, such as corn that will be used to make corn silage, because it needs to be fermentable.
