Sarah Makepeace

Bachelors’ in Biology with Honours at the University of New Brunswick with concentrations in Marine Biology, Biological Diversity, Animal Physiology, Environmental Biology, and Wildlife Ecology & Conservation.


Sarah is a MSc student studying epidemiology in the Department of Population Medicine at the University of Guelph.

Sarah’s Master thesis will be investigating pet guardian’s perceptions of risk and motivation for or against the implementation of preventative measures for tick bites and tick-borne diseases.

Research Interests

Analytical Epidemiology, public health, and vector-borne disease ecology & epidemiology.
