BSc(Hons), DVM, MSc
Nadine obtained her DVM in 2014 and worked in a small animal and exotics practice for a short time in England before returning to where her heart belongs (Guelph)! Nadine decided to pursue a PhD after completing a Master's thesis focusing on the epidemiology of pathogens and antimicrobial resistance in Canada geese in Ontario. Her PhD thesis will be using whole genome sequencing data to understand the ecology of Salmonella and antimicrobial resistance at the human, wildlife, environmental, and livestock interface in southern Ontario. Nadine's research interests include evidence-based medicine, zoonoses, and a bit of philosophy (her husband is to blame for that!). Outside of school, Nadine enjoys nature and spending time with the furry and feathered family.
