Michele d. Bergevin

Michele is a graduate student at the University of Guelph under the tutelage of Drs. Katie Clow and Vicky Ng.  She is investigating the bioecology and epidemiology of the mosquito-borne zoonosis Cache Valley virus (CVV) in sheep in the context of climate change.  Through the development of statistical and disease models, she aims to shed light on future CVV exposure risk and in turn guide farm management practices.  Michele completed a Master of Applied Science in biomedical and mechanical engineering at the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Science in biology and biomedical engineering at MIT, and is trained as veterinary technologist.
