Megan graduated from the University of Guelph in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a Minor in Microbiology and Genetics. She has always dreamt of becoming a veterinarian, so when the opportunity arose to work with Dr. Andria Jones-Bitton investigating mental health in veterinarians, she jumped at the opportunity. Her research focuses on mental health in veterinarians and she is particualrly keen on investigating occupational stressors within the veterinary profession and how the stressors impact veterinarians' mental health.
She is also an avid reader, swimmer and gym goer and is curently training for her second triathlon. As well, she loves to get youth excited about Science as a volunteer for the Guelph Division of Let's Talk Science.
Her research centralizes on the mental health of vets practicin in Canada. Although her project has not fully taken shape, one area of interest is investigating everyday occupational stressors and how these factors infleunce mental health in vets practicing in Canada
