Katherine obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science in Biological Science from the University of Guelph in 2021. She went on to complete a summer research assistantship in dairy cattle behaviour and welfare in U of G's Department of Animal Biosciences. Katherine is now an MSc student in the Department of Population Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College, under the supervision of Dr. David Renaud and Dr. David Kelton. Her research will determine the prevalence of Salmonella Dublin on dairy farms across Ontario, as well as identify risk factors and management practices associated with S. Dublin infections. She currently serves as Vice President of the Population Medicine Social Committee.
