Juliet Germann

Profile

Juliet is a first-year MSc student studying epidemiology in the Department of Population Medicine under the supervision of Dr. Kelsey Spence. Juliet graduated with an HBSc in 2020 from the University of Toronto where she specialized in Biological Anthropology and minored in Biology. Her studies in mortuary archaeology and statistics are how she became introduced to epidemiology. Her current research topic involves using both qualitative and quantitative methods of determining how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted horse owners’ perception and implementation of biosecurity. Juliet’s interests include disease surveillance, infection prevention, animal health, and health communication.
