Joanne earned her Honors BSc from the University of Guelph in 2020. She has extensive work experience in the dairy industry and worked for the department over the summers of 2019 and 2020. The combined work within industry, research and undergrad lead her to pursue a Masters degree in the Department of Population Medicine. She began her MSc in the fall of 2020 with Todd Duffield, DVM, DVSc. Currently, she is researching cull cow management on dairy farms in Ontario. Her research focuses on describing the current management of cull cows by producers and involvement of veterinarians in the process. In her spare time, Joanne enjoys hiking, biking, and baking.
