Jamie Goltz

I obtained my BSc (major in Biochemistry and minor in Microbiology) at the University of Guelph. After my undergraduate degree, I worked in the department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mount Sinai Hospital on a project that analyzed variants in exome sequencing. I also worked as a Research Assistant in the School of Environmental Science to perform quantitative tests on human enteric viruses from surface and groundwater samples.

I am currently enrolled in my MSc in Epidemiology, with a collaborative specialization in One Health. The project aims to examine the relative contribution of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase-producing bacteria exposure on human health from human, animal, and environmental reservoirs compared to the retail meat pathway.
