Hisba Shereefdeen

Profile

I graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Toxicology in June 2022, and I am a current MSc student in the Department of Population Medicine. My interest in Population Medicine stems from the epidemiology courses taken during my undergraduate degree. This was further fueled by co-op work terms with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, where I had the opportunity to conduct a literature review on antimicrobial resistance and its effect on the agricultural industry from a One Health perspective.

Research Interests

In collaboration with the Public Health Agency of Canada, I will be evaluating the use of public communication during multi-jurisdictional enteric outbreak investigations.
