Profile

Growing up on a farm in rural Saskatchewan motivated me to work towards a degree in animal science and eventually Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. Sometime along the way I developed a passion for research and after working at a veterinary practive the specialized in feedlot sheep and cattle, I had the opportunity to pursue an MsC through the UBC's Animal Welfare program. My research on male dairy calf transportation through UBC opened the door for me to join David Renaud in working on male dairy calf health and welfare as a PhD student in the Department of Population Medicine.
