Bruno Joaquin Paredes Osorio

Profile

Joaquin obtained his DVM in 2017 in Paraguay, South America, during that time he developed a strong interest in subfertility conditions affecting large animals. After graduation, he worked in private practice applying reproductive biotechnologies in bovine and equine species. In 2018, he joined a molecular biology lab at the University of Calgary to study epigenetic dynamics during early embryo development. In 2020, he started a DVSc program at the University of Guelph supervised by Prof. Tracey Chenier. The focus of his project is to develop reproductive techniques to mitigate various subfertility conditions seen in equine species.
