Profile

Angie is currently pursuing a PhD in epidemiology in the Department of Population medicine. She completed her MPH at the University of Guelph in the spring of 2016, and is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College (1996). She worked in small animal emergency practice before returning to University to study public health. For her MPH practicum, she worked on a rabies risk assessment project for the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.  Her interests include veterinary epidemiology and public health, antimicrobial use in animals, and antimicrobial resistance in animals and people.  

Her PhD project focuses on antimicrobial use in nursing and nursery pigs, and the integration of antimicrobial use data in an antimicrobial resistance model.
