Alaina MacDonald
Profile
Alaina is a Masters student in the Department of Population Medicine. In 2015 she completed an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science with a minor in Neuroscience from the University of Guelph, then graduated from the DVM program in 2019. After graduation, she practiced in both small and large animal primary care, with a particular love of farm animal medicine, wildlife health and rural outreach.
Research description/area of interest: Alaina is interested in the role of health equity in disease emergence at the human-animal interface.
