Davor completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zagreb in Croatia and then worked in swine practice.  He went on to complete an MSc at Brock University followed by a PhD at the University of Guelph.  He currently works at the Animal Health Laboratory as Virologist and Immunologist.

Davor’s group carries out well over 150 different tests, from classical virology to fully automated high-throughput procedures. Davor also develops new diagnostic tests and works on improving existing tests. Although he primarily provides laboratory and consultative services to veterinary practitioners and agricultural operations in Ontario, Dr. Ojkic collaborates with colleagues at the University of Saskatchewan, University of Prince Edward Island, Memorial University of Newfoundland, Université de Montréal, as well as the National Center for Foreign Animal Diseases in Winnipeg.
