OVC Animal Cancer Centre featured on CTV W5

CTV’s W5 visited the Ontario Veterinary College’s Mona Campbell Centre for Animal Cancer at the University of Guelph to learn more about the role of veterinary science in the fight against cancer.

Sandie Rinaldo, host of the investigative news program, talked with Dr. Paul Woods, a veterinary oncologist in OVC’s Animal Cancer Centre, to learn more about how veterinary cancer research and care may help human medicine.

Medicine Unleashed explores the similarity of osteosarcoma in dogs and people, treatment similarities and differences, as well as a current study at OVC utilizing an immunotherapy vaccine to treat osteosarcoma in dogs by delaying or preventing metastasis.
