On May 30 I attended the 2019 Centre for Public Health and Zoonoses (CPHAZ) symposium at the University of Guelph. There were a few presentations on the issue of Lyme disease, which I found very interesting due to the increasing prevalence of this disease in Ontario. The event opened with the keynote speaker, Dr. Kirk Leifso, who gave a presentation on Lyme disease from a clinician’s perspective. In his presentation he outlined the various issues associated with the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease.
