Welcome to the Ontario Veterinary College. The OVC is a recognized international leader in veterinary education, service, and research with enthusiastic, dedicated faculty, staff and students, excited to be working at the intersection of animal, human and environmental health.
Our College is organized into four dynamic academic departments - Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Studies, Pathobiology and Population Medicine - plus the OVC Health Sciences Centre. OVC’s administrative areas include: Advancement and Alumni Affairs, Communications, Information Management & Business Intelligence, and OVC Information Technology Services. All of the units are supported by Shared Administrative Services at the Ontario Veterinary College, whose mission is to bring efficient and effective administrative support to all departments at the college.
OVC is also home to Pet Trust, Equine Guelph, the Centre for Public Health and Zoonoses, Institute for Comparative Cancer Investigation, the Campbell Centre for Study of Animal Welfare and the Cardiovascular Centre.
In addition to training future veterinarians and maximizing learning opportunities for our graduates, our work is focused on three broad areas that have a direct impact on our quality of life: translational biomedical discovery; individual animal health and welfare; and public health and animal population health.
We are proud to be a founding college of the University of Guelph, a world leader in the life sciences and top-ranked comprehensive university.
