OVC Information Technology Services exists to enable the effective use of information technology in support of the College and its mission. Working in collaboration with Computing and Communication Services at the University of Guelph, we aim to deliver information technology services that meet the needs of the OVC community and achieve the highest level of client satisfaction. We support the use and development of information technology to enable innovation in teaching, learning, research, and scholarship.

Our Service Areas
Desktop, Hardware and Network Support
Providing support related to central user accounts, network files and folders, email and calendaring, purchase and deployment of new equipment, printing, security and anti-virus, smartphones and mobile devices, video and web conferencing, and support for OVC’s classroom technology.
Hospital and Enterprise Systems Support
Support for systems critical to the effective operation of the OVC Health Sciences Centre such as Stringsoft (Electronic Medical Record), Omnicell (Pharmacy), Agfa Impax Agility (Digital Imaging), OSCAR (Scheduling and Time & Attendance) and Orders Plus (Inventory), as well as IDEXX Cornerstone which is the electronic medical record system in use in the OVC Smith Lane Animal Hospital.
Support for OVC enterprise information systems such as GSIS (Graduate Student Information System) and Enterprise (Room Scheduler).
Teaching and Learning Systems Support
Supporting Faculty in the development and delivery of course materials via the University of Guelph Learning Management System (CourseLink) and providing leadership in the innovative use of technology in support of teaching and learning. Providing support and expertise in the use of technology to support evaluations and outcomes assessment, curricular development and scheduling of clinical rotations.
Web Sites Support
Development and maintenance of OVC’s web site, departmental web sites, and associated sites such as Pet Trust.
