Course Verification at the Ontario Veterianry College

Course verification is intended to be an all encompassing process for gathering information about the effort required to deliver all of the courses/programs offered by the College.  Deadlines are driven by the required reporting to the University of Guelph's Department of Institutional Research and Analysis (as dictated by the Government of Ontario).  However, the information gathered does provide great value to the college in a variety of ways beyond this. Subsets of this data are used to upload to other systems as well as providing evidence to support decision making.

Course verification data contributes in some way to the following areas:

  • eCV (Yearly Teaching Upload)
  • Accreditation reporting (AVMA/CVMA 7 year cycle)
  • Institutional Research and Analysis reporting (for provincial government)
  • Course Costing
  • Curriculum Development
  • Staffing plans
  • and more
